Hello/Intro FloodingReturn to index of stories... |
Hello, I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to NH Outlook. Major flooding in recent days in the nation's mid-section is a sign of what's to come this spring. Government forecasters say there is an above-normal flood potential in many areas across the country including here in New England. In the last two years, New Hampshire has experienced significant spring flooding with homes and businesses devastated by the high waters. Governor John Lynch wants to make sure the state is prepared to respond to any potential flooding this year. He has visited potential flood areas and met with emergency responders. Outlook's Richard Ager caught up with the Governor during a recent stop in Newmarket-- just one community seriously affected by flooding in recent years. |
